“The DAXhund II” is a variation on the original theme. The logo-like stylized shape of the dachshund is intended to achieve a more “serious” appearance. Against the backdrop of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the dachshund floats docked to the Deutsche Börse logo like Aladdin on his flying carpet. Hmm, the whole thing doesn’t seem quite so serious after all …
[A] The combination of the background of the picture (dog) and another visual object may evoke a (German) term that is ambiguous in German and thus “calls up a second theme”.
