Sunset over the dunes in a surprisingly orange-colored hue, with an interested guest along for the ride: a crane fly. The gnat (as it is called in entomology) was actually sitting at the window of my vacation home before it was mounted in the picture. Take a well-known cocktail whose first syllable sound matches the word "sky", namely "cai", change the last letter 'H' to a 'J' (for sound reasons), fuse it with a beautiful reddish sky at sunset and you get the (of course non-alcoholic) "Skypirin(h)ja". The view of a dark sky, covered with rain and storm clouds, evokes dark and dangerous things, such as in Greek mythology: Skylla, the sixheaded sea monster that Ulysses had to pass on his way home after the end of the Trojan War. Scylla, shifted from the sea to the sky due to the initial syllable, is represented by the image on an ancient Greek vase. The original vase can be viewed in the Louvre, Paris. The term "sky surfer" refers to an extreme athlete who surfs through the air on a special board. In fact, it is nothing more than a skydiving discipline. In Dante's Divine Comedy in Paradise, the white rose of heaven is the highest seat of the saints (formed by the reflection of the divine light of the crystal sky).
